Key Responsibilities:

Due to expansion of the business, we require a Field Services Manager to be manage the team of Field Service Engineers, the majority of whom are based in the North East of the UK, however as the team expands, will be a National role. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, and results driven to join the team. The successful candidate will be an excellent leader and must have a strong electrical background (LV and HV) with knowledge of the industry.

  • Comply with all required health and safety policies

  • Line management of the Field Service Team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and motivating

  • Ensure all field staff have the correct PPE and Equipment at all times

  • Supporting HR with the management of the fleet of vehicles for the Team

  • Leading all activities on sites and ensuring the annual maintenance plans are achieved as per contractual


  • Ensure reporting following activities is completed in appropriate time frames, and to the quality expected

  • Responsible for management of third-party contractors carrying out works on site

  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are

    suitable for audit

  • Assist O&M Director in investigations, training and assessments, as well as warranty matters

  • Support O&M Director in writing and approving RAMS

  • Working with the Senior Planner, to ensure the most efficient planning of field activities is maintained and

    maximizing productivity at all times

  • Ensure all operations are supported by a defined procedural practice that will be able to demonstrate compliance to Best Practice

  • Implement new procedures and technical bulletins to ensure installers and engineers are fully compliant at all times

  • Reporting against agreed KPIs and SLAs

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders (OMM Team, other departments, Board) and external stakeholders (Client,

    Electrical, Ground Maintenance and Civil Contractors, site visitors)

Skills/ Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of work experience in Renewable energy, Solar and Battery Storage, both LV and HV works

  • Experience in on site management of operational staff, field teams and contractors

  • Full clean driving licence

  • Willingness to travel

  • Health and Safety Management, IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification

  • Holder of a 5 Day SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training
